We competed well but found the champions too strong for us. The contest was closer than the result suggests.Alan Robinson scored our half point. He was in a winning position in his usual time trouble. The latter may have cost him the win.Jerry Herrington omitted to press his clock for several minutes after a move which probably cost him a draw. Steve Burke on top board and myself had chances, but weren't able to save our games.Bob's game was a car crash in the opening.
