A weakened Ashfield team narrowly lost to title contenders, Mansfield. Neil Graham and Nigel Wright scored excellent draws against Peter Ackley and Chris Cantrill. Mansfield edged ahead as Derek and myself gave best to Jim Burnett and Ken Morrison. With the game lost, Steve Burke played very well in a time scramble to defeat, Jon Tait, ECF 216.
