The expected result, which broke a most unexpected run of 7 losses for the Grantham club. I'm pleased to say the Grantham captain took in good spirits my NCA report, " Grantham Train De-Railed."

 I'm sure our captain would have been very happy with how we competed on the night. To hold the formidable home team on the top 3 boards was no mean feat. Grantham's captain will have welcomed  the return to winning form of Boards 4 and 5. Peter Cusick would be entitled to savour his win against Neil after their eventful previous encounter, in the Grantham 2- Ashfield 3 game, when Neil demonstrated the full range of his escapology skills..
