A 2.5-2.5 draw with West Nottingham 4 ensured that Ashfield 4 finished as Notts League Division Four champions with a match to play. Winners in this vital match were Cliff Potter and Sally McIntosh; Paul Todd halved his game.

Ashfield 3 were relegated to Division Four after Gambit 3 defeated already promoted West Notts 3 in their last two matches
